Every Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series in order, with its protagonist and the mechanic each one introduced: Duel Monsters, GX, 5D's, ZEXAL, ARC-V, VRAINS, SEVENS, Go Rush!! and The Chronicles.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!! (2022-2025)
Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game: The Chronicles (desde 2025)

Every Yu-Gi-Oh! series has its own protagonist and almost always introduces a new way of summoning that reaches the card game at the same time. That's why the anime's story and the game's story go hand in hand.

Years are for the original Japanese broadcast. Before all of them there was a first adaptation in 1998, by a different studio, following the manga's early chapters when it wasn't all about cards yet. Fans sometimes call it "Season 0".
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (2000-2004)
The original series, based on Kazuki Takahashi's manga. Yugi and the Pharaoh's spirit face Seto Kaiba, Pegasus in Duelist Kingdom, Marik in Battle City and, in the end, the Pharaoh's own past in ancient Egypt. It's the series most people know, and the one with the Egyptian Gods. More in The origin.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (2004-2008)
Years later, Jaden Yuki enrols at Duel Academy, the school founded by Kaiba. It's the most "school life" series, with dorms ranked by skill and duels between students, though it grows darker every season. Jaden plays Elemental HEROes and Fusions.
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's (2008-2011)
In Neo Domino City, Yusei Fudo grows up in a poor district cut off from the city and becomes famous in Turbo Duels, played on motorbikes. The series introduced Synchro Summoning and the dragons of the Signers, chosen by the Crimson Dragon.
Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL (2011-2014)
Yuma Tsukumo meets Astral, a being from another world who has lost his memories, scattered into 99 cards called Numbers. Together they have to get them back. It brought Xyz Summoning.
Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V (2014-2017)
Yuya Sakaki wants to be a duelist who makes people smile, and invents Pendulum Summoning. The story jumps across four dimensions, each built around a summoning method: Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and his own.
Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS (2017-2019)
Duels move to a virtual reality network, LINK VRAINS. Yusaku Fujiki fights there as Playmaker, alongside Ai, a rogue artificial intelligence. It introduced Link Summoning and Cyberse monsters.
Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS (2020-2022)
A lighter series for a younger audience. Yuga Ohdo invents Rush Duel, a faster, simpler way to play with its own cards. It's a separate game from the regular one, sold mainly in Japan.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!! (2022-2025)
Yudias Velgear is an alien who comes to Earth looking for a future for his people and finds it in Rush Duel. He works with the twins Yuhi and Yuamu Ohdo at a company that hunts aliens. It ended in March 2025.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game: The Chronicles (since 2025)
This one is different: short episodes that Konami uploads to YouTube, starting in April 2025. There are no duelists, because the stars are the characters from the cards themselves, and each arc tells one of the stories the game has been telling through its artworks for years. It has adapted Sky Striker, Albaz and Ecclesia, the Charmers, Magistus and the Seeker of Sinful Spoils.
